I am so excited to announce that my basketball design was selected as one of the two winners of Super Group’s Art of the Game competition. More importantly I am incredibly proud and grateful that thanks to Super Group, I am able to make a donation of £5000 to my chosen charity of Cancer Research UK!

'COMMON GROUND'

My design, 'Common Ground' is an immersive landscape inspired by movement, wrapped around the circumference of the basketball. It attempts to celebrate how sports allows connection and unity. Inspired by one of my favourite artists Werner Bronkhorst, it focuses on a variety of sporting stories unfolding simultaneously.  Upon close inspection, the viewer will notice multiple miniature scenes against a rich green grassy background. This shared landscape shows my attempt to combine community and capture the energy of togetherness brought by sports. The idea is that the viewer will capture new details with each further inspection of the ball.
